JoumReab Sour, hello ladies and gentlemen,

let me introduce myself. My name is Chheuy Haklao, and you can call me Lao. I was born in 1996 in Banteay Meanchey province. At the age of 14, I moved to live in the Buddhist monastery with the monks because of education of high school. In August 2014, I graduated from high school. Then I moved to Siem Reap for Bachelor Degree. After one month living here, I found the high demand of tourism. I pass a tour guide exam prepared by Ministry of Tourism. Now I am a licensed tour guide in Siem Reap.

In the meantime, I have also been doing Bachelor Degree in English for Education at night. Now I am in year III, Semester II. In addition, I have taken many of English courses such as: writing, listening, reading and speaking skills. Moreover, I used to be a teacher of English writing skill. Through this, I have fluent level of English communication.

I have been working as tour guide for more than 2 years now. I have been guiding travelers to Angkor Complexes and all over Cambodia. I specialize in historical, cultural and adventurous tour (countryside cycling and hiking on the mountain). I really love this job in terms of sharing stories about my beautiful country and its rich culture.

About my family, I have two younger sisters who are 13 and 18. My family is in the country 50 km from town. My mother is a farmer, and so are my grandparents. I have been struggling with the difficulty of life since I was in very early age. I am young, but my professionalism is not!

I can also provide pick up and delivery from Poipet to Angkor wat tours. Contact me via the messenger on the lower right and I will love to guide you in Cambodia!

 Warmness and Smiles of Cambodia
by TravelBuddee_Admin on October 19, 2017 6:58am UTC

We had Haklao and Panhasa as our guides in Cambodia and they were one of the most accommodating, knowledgeable and patient guides I have met throughout my travels :)

My friend Low and I (Steve) were in Cambodia in Aug 2017. Despite the short notice, Haklao was able to customize our temple tours to our needs. They were very knowledgeable in the histories of the temples and shared the stories interestingly, generously and injecting humor in at times (e.g. the famous churning ocean of the milk, history of the Khmer Kings, Khmer Rouge, etc).

Haklao had even went the extra mile to assist us on suggestions and our bus bookings to Phnom Penh on his rest day (which we realized was actually his birthday!). With the vibrant and diligent characters in Haklao and Panhasa, our Cambodia trip was complete with memories of their warmness and smiles.

 Excellent multi-day tour with Haklao!
by TravelBuddee_Admin on October 19, 2017 7:00am UTC

Haklao is a fabulous tour guide! He is very knowledgable about the temples and history, but also a nice, easy person to be spending your time with (this is important, especially as a solo traveler!). He was accommodating and flexible in how we arranged our time and split it between the main temples, bicycling, a sunrise visit, etc. I felt that he truly listened to what I wanted to do and see, and was accommodating of all of my requests rather than just leading me on a cookie cutter tour of the temples and archeological park. His English is perfectly fluent. In addition to his depth of historical knowledge, he offered an interesting window into contemporary Cambodian life, too. Haklao is communicative and has great customer service skills.

 Excellent! Highly recommended!

Mr. Hak Lao is the guide you're looking for to take you around the temples. His English is excellent, his knowledge of the temples and Cambodian history is immense, and his pride and love of his country is infectious. My only regret is that I only hired Mr. Hak Lao on my last day. I really hope to have an opportunity to return and see all the temples with him. You will not regret hiring him! Also, solo travelers will feel perfectly comfortable wth him and make easy conversation. I felt like I was touring with a friend.

Welcome to Cambodia, My name is Voeun Savuth, I was born in 1980. Since 1999, I have been working and guiding as Moto driver around Cambodia sites. Then in 2005, I received the license from the Cambodia Ministry of Tourism and became an official Tourist Guide in Cambodia. Now, I am working for a freelance tourist guide as main job, meeting people from around the world. I'm interested in history, cultures, ancient architectures, languages, etc... I really love to introduce those things about Cambodia to the world. So doing a tourist guide to help and have a chance to share the many things with overseas is my perfect happiness. :). I love my job as it helps me to learn more about the worlds as I interact with guests, and it allows me to share with them the wonders of the country that I love - Cambodia. I could open their eyes to a country which formally had rich cultures, ancient civilizations, people, Art and architecture that have been lost and damaged during the civil-war (1975 - 1979). I'm told by my parents so many people were killed by Khmer Rouge and they saw many of their friends die during the war as well as many civilians. I can also provide pick up and delivery from Poipet to Angkor wat tours.
