Day 1: Hanoi – Yen Bai city - Nghia Lo (L, D)
Our guide will pick you up at the airport. Start your journey to Nghia Lo, Yen Bai.
On the road, we will visit in Suoi Giang Commune, Van Chan district to admire the hundred years old – ancient tea trees, which make up the speciality Tea San Snow. The wild tea trees grow in the high mountains with a cool climate all year round. We will have lunch here. Then leave Suoi Giang, continue to Nghia Lo.
Arrive at Nghia Lo town, check in our homestay at a peaceful village of Thai people. Rest on a traditional stilt house. In the afternoon, we embark on a bicycling tour to discover the daily life of the ethnic community in the area and enjoy the beautiful scenery of villages, rice fields or enjoy the Hot Spring.

Day 2: Nghia Lo - Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai - trekking around villages (B, L, D)
You will be surprised by the beautiful rice terrace along the route from Tu Le - Mù Cang Chải.
Run over the Khau Pha pass, one of the four greatest passes in Northern Vietnam, connecting Tu Le and Mu Cang Chai. We’ll cross Tu Le town, and you’ll have the chance to see the interesting activities of Thai women in Tu Le making the “Com-green rice”, the famous special product of Tu Le along the road during the harvest season. Most scenic roads which offer a lot of stops for picturing as the viewpoint to see the Lim Mong, Lim Thai village or paragliding-point on the top of this pass.
Enjoy trekking tours around La Pan Tan commune and explore the life & musical of Mong people.
Continue trekking from La Pan Tan village to enjoy Mam Xoi rice terrace of H’mong people in Mu Cang Chai. Lunch will be served along trekking path.
Visit some schools or play games with the children. Besides seeing the beauty of rice fields, you will be guided on how to plant rice, harvest rice or discover the farm with working locals. It will be an exciting experience. Enjoy stunning landscapes along the way, spectacular views of countryside and nature, visit local villages, experience the daily life of hill tribe people and see how traditional clothes are made.
Sleeping at Homestay at Mu Cang Chai
Note: 3- hour drive & 3-4 hour light trek
Day 3: Mu Cang Chai – Sapa (B, L, D) (160km – 4hours drive)
After our breakfast, we will spend 3 hours to trek with the local guide from Kim Noi village to Che Cu Nha. Time will also be allocated to look around and experience life in Mu Cang Chai. After lunch at Mu Cang Chai, we transfer to Sapa.
We’ll pass by O Quy Ho pass, one of the four greatest pass in Vietnam and it is where the highest peak of Indochina- Mt Fansipan is located. You can enjoy fresh cool air and magnificent landscapes. It will be an unforgettable experience. Stay at Hotel 3* in Sapa.
Day 4: Trek up Fansipan (B, L, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will arrange for the guide and driver to pick you up at the hotel around 8:00 am. You will be transferred by car to Tram Ton Gate to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. From there you can see Mt. Fansipan, continue trekking The trek will be relatively soft until lunchtime. After a couple of hours of hiking, you will have a break at a nice spot in the forest and enjoy a good lunch.
With new energy, you start to hike towards the campsite. You will have many opportunities to enjoy the scenery and magnificent views of Sapa area and the beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province. You will arrive at the campsite at 2800m ASL in the late afternoon. Now it is time to relax and enjoy a well-prepared dinner.
Trekking: 5 hrs/ascend 2,800 m from 1,900 m
Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Day 5: 2800m – the top of Fansipan – Tram Ton – Sapa (B, L, -)
After having breakfast, you climb to the top, where you can celebrate your victory. From there, you get to enjoy a breathtaking birds-eye view of the surrounding scenery. You will then trek through a rainforest to go back to the campsite for lunch.
After lunch, you start your journey back. You follow the trail as well as stone steps built by Hoang Lien National Park until you reach your car which will take you back to Sapa. Arrive back in Sapa in the afternoon, where you can celebrate your achievement and relax.
Trekking: 7,5 hrs/ascend 3,143 m to Sapa
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Note: If you want to back Sapa by cable car, pay more $40/person
